With the charge set to “increase access to early childhood programs that will ensure a child entering school comes healthy and ready to succeed” the focus is to improve availability, affordability, and quality of programs for Arizona’s youngest children. The spectrum of services to be addressed is broad, including: child care and early education, parenting resources and information, health services, and professional development for those working with young children. Special focus is placed on one of our greatest needs: increasing access to high-quality care and education. High-quality care is an essential in order to prepare children for success and provide what every child needs to ensure optimum development and improve the outcomes of school readiness.

Contact Jennifer Johnson, Senior Policy Specialist, for further information about accessibility to early childhood programs.
