The Arizona Early Childhood Summit, held April 21-23, 2008, was a resounding success! More than 450 participants, including newly appointed First Things First Regional Partnership Council members and early childhood stakeholders, participated in this inaugural event.

First Things First Board Chair, Nadine Basha interviewing David Kirp, author of The Sandbox Investment…The Preschool Movement and Kids-First Politics

The Summit brought together all of Arizona’s Regional Partnership Councils with the goal of building knowledge, capacity and collaboration among newly appointed members and staff. It also provided the opportunity for community, business and foundation leaders from across the state to interact with the newly formed Councils while gaining knowledge from locally and nationally renowned experts.

Summit speaker, Harvard University’s Dr. Hirokazu Yoshikawa, lead author of 'A Science-Based Framework for Early Childhood Policy'
